How to register a company with the Illinois Department of Revenue?
Fill out the form in full, paying particular attention to section three. While the form states that a Secretary of State of Illinois registration number in Section 1, Question 7 please leave blank if you have applied and not yet received the number. They are aware that applications are completed simultaneously. Note that if you are doing business in Chicago or making purchases on a resale basis a separate registration is required. (more…)
